A few months ago I had the opportunity to attend a joint mobility seminar with Ken Blackburn co-founder and director of operations for the IKFF.  The seminar was held at Seacoast Kettlebells over in Dover.  Ken ran us through some a huge gamut of different movements that helped us move better, some of which we use in our warm-up now.

I told you that to tell you this.  I met a guy called Bill, unfortunatelyI don’t know his last name.  Bill is the epitome of the saying “it’s not the years in your life but the life in your years”!  Bill, I believe, is in his late 50’s to early 60’s.  Some of the skills Ken had us working on were pretty challenging for me and I’ve performed and coached gymnastics for the last 25 years!  But Bill did his absolute best to try every skill that Ken threw at us, there were some that a couple of people were fairly reluctant to try but Bill didn’t shy away!  He gave it the old college try, and although he didn’t achieve every skill Ken taught us that day, it was an inspiration to see the full effort he gave!  Bill has currently lost about 40 pounds!

On top of that, Bill has to be one of the funniest people I’ve ever met!
